COMMUNITY LEADERS ORGANIZE 3rd ANNUAL BLACK/SMALL
BUSINESS EXPO – SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2011
The State of Greater Black Lafayette is pleased to announce that it has collaborated with
The Southern View Magazine, LCG Parks & Recreation, Citadel Broadcasting, and the Greater Southwest La. Black Chamber of Commerce to host a “Black/Small Business Expo.”
The Expo will feature businesses of all types, such as: retail, service, authors, publications, legal, investment groups, cosmetics, photography, insurance, audio, computers, child care, real estate, restaurant/caterers, etc, to name a few.
The goal of the Expo is to generate exposure and encourage the community to support and
shop with Black & Small owned Businesses.
Organizers of this event propose to bring to the public, a venue filled will Black & Small Business owners who will present the products and services they offer in their businesses.
For the Business owner, the Expo offers exposure and instant networking opportunities. Additionally, with free admission and booth-to-booth shopping, the Business owner will be positioned to generate revenue during the Expo. All of this for nominal fee of $30.00.
The Black/Small Business Expo will be held at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Center, 309 Cora St. Lafayette, LA., 11:00am to 5:00pm. The event will offer workshops (real estate; credit counseling & financial counseling) for interested folks; Door prizes will be given throughout the day. This event is free and open to the public.
Proceeds from the Expo will be donated to Holy Family Catholic School.
